Responsibilities

• To learn in a practical work environment by means of following a plan that is aimed at the development of the skills required to be a qualified electrician
• Feltex apprenticeship programme focuses on enabling the skills development of employees and artisans within the Automotive Industry
• This programme aims at providing the apprentice with the necessary knowledge, skills and proficiencies to succeed as an artisan in the manufacturing environment
• In addition to artisan related knowledge, the learner will also be developed in areas such as customer service, team work and quality compliance
• Four (4) year apprenticeship contract with the MERSETA Electrical Training at an Accredited training centre On-the-job/plant experience Further Education and Training (Technical Training) – provided you meet the requirement Good learning orientation as well as the ability to apply acquired knowledge
• Good problem solving ability
• Must be prepared to travel and train away from home
• Ability to work on his/her own and in a team environment
• Good communication & decision making skills
• Physically fit with good hand/eye coordination
• Prepared to operate and maintain heavy industrial equipment
• Prepared to work in heavy industrial environment
• Prepared to complete technical training and technical college subjects
• No fear of heights

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (with Maths & Science)
• N3 (with Electrical Trade Theory, Mathematics and Eng
• Science) or NCV 4 qualification in Electrical
